Our Rules

I. The Important Rules

I. The Important Rules

II. Regarding NSFW Content

1. RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS

There is a diverse spread of people with unique personalities, beliefs and values within our Company, and as such, we must respect each of our differences. This means that when disagreements occur, we need to respect those we disagree with, and those that don't want your disagreements in their leisure time. Especially when your arguments take place in public, your actions and your behavior reflects back to the Company. Being rude, derogatory, elitist or bad mouthing other players in or out FC will not be tolerated.

2. KEEP YOUR CONVERSATIONS APPROPRIATE AND POLITE

Our in-game FC chat is to be considered the equivalent of General Chat in Discord. Our Discord has a multitude of channels available for specific conversations.

If someone asks you to please drop a topic, do so. If you wish to keep talking about it, check to see if there is another channel more appropriate for it! (Ex. Someone who hasn't beaten Stormblood yet may ask you to move to the Spoilers channel if you're talking about the most recent MSQ content.)  If no channels are fitting, take it somewhere private.

Our Discord is not a vessel or pulpit to preach from. Please keep political/religious/controversial debates low key. If it's getting heated or people are uncomfortable it probably shouldn't be happening. If you really want to discuss something of this nature, do so privately.

It’s okay to voice your opinions for something, but remember that not everyone will agree with you; everyone has their own opinion. Please be mindful and respectful of this at all times. If emotions run high, consider removing yourself from the conversation rather than escalating tensions further. Please refrain from insulting something, saying something is stupid or gross, or any form of baiting out fights. You may state that you personally don't like or enjoy something, and explain your reasons, but NEVER trash on someone else's preferences. If you still cannot agree to disagree from there, then our chats are no longer a place for said debate.

3. BE COMMITTED TO THE COMPANY

If you say you are going to do something, be sure to follow through. If you need help, ask for it. We aren't mind readers but in most cases we would love to help you. However people have a right to do their own thing, so please be patient when asking for assistance.

If you have an event idea, make one! If you need help, we will help! Contact an officer, and we'll do everything we can to decorate, advertise, staff, and whatever else we can! Otherwise come to any events we organize as you are able! Our community can only grow if we're all participating within it!

Sometimes plans go awry. Sometimes things just don't line up. Sometimes we plan events and nobody else is available to come join. These things happen, and that's okay! Don't give up. We can always work together and figure out what we can do to make it better for next time. Was it the time? Was it the theme? Was it other events you were competing with? Just because it didn't work out this time doesn't mean it won't work out next time!

We do have a revolving door policy. While we understand that sometimes you may want a change of pace, needing to take break, or wanting to experience something different, please do not abuse this. We like to see commitment from our members. We are more than willing to move you into a hiatus rank and let you have your space, or if you need to just turn FC chat off for a week or a month, that's fine! Let us know, so we can adjust accordingly. Members who repeatedly quit and rejoin and quit and rejoin will eventually be denied re-entry.

II. Regarding NSFW Content

NSFW content in any form will not be tolerated in the General Channels.
>>> General Channels are easily identified as they ARE NOT NSFW LOCKED.

--- Explicit Nudity of any kind being posted in General Channels
--- Sexually suggestive content (Images or discussion) being posted in General Channels
--- Engagement of ERP in **ANY** of the Discord Channels, General or NSFW

If you feel your conversation would not be suitable to say out loud in front of a classroom full of children, then please redirect your conversation into one of the NSFW channels.

We have tried repeatedly to be lenient and quietly address this issue, but so far this has proven unsuccessful. Unfortunately, we have reached a breaking point, and are no longer going to try to convince people to follow the most basic common courtesy of rules. We love all our members, and we love how quirky and unique everyone is... but if you cannot follow the rules that have been laid out to keep our company as inclusive as possible for all persons, then please be prepared for us to step in and make adjustments as necessary.

First NSFW Infraction

you will be given a warning. You will be messaged privately by at least one officer to make SURE you know that you have recieved this warning.

Second NSFW Infraction

you will be put into the time out corner, the sin bin, be forcibly donned with the @Cone of Shame, etc etc etc, for a period of approx. one (1) day.

Third and all following NSFW Infractions

these will be taken case-by-case, and may possibly result in your being placed permanently into the @Cone of Shame rank.

Being placed into this rank will restrict your Discord access primarily only to the NSFW-tagged channels and a select few General channels for continued FC-participation.

If you have any issues with the rules we have set in place, please come to us. We'd like to be as open to discussion as possible, and keep an open dialogue case by case. We're not trying to be tyranical rulers here, but blatantly brushing the rules off not only makes you look like an ass, but it puts other members of and actively-detracts from the environment we are hoping to create together.

III. Rule Breaking, Documentation, and Infractions

III. Rule Breaking, Documentation, and Infractions

When an incident occurs because of a rule being broken the process is as follows:

1.

The incident is submitted to an officer.

2.

The officer records the conversation, and takes the submitted incident to the rest of the Officers.

3.

Officers discuss as a group what actions are to be taken in regards to the incident submitted.

4.

The incident is archived for Officers, and follow-through of Officer decision is executed.

5.

Infractions are then given out depending on the severity of issue and/or the incident conversation.

Please note:
If you are reporting an incident that has occurred in-game, screenshots of the incident is a must.

If the incident occured in Discord, screenshots of the entirety of the conversation must be provided.

In the light of fairness, we will not mediate disputes on a he-said-she-said basis.
