Isabeau Onyx'eart

What are they up to nowadays

Isabeau has been spending much of her time tucked away in her range, or away at her cottage in Lominsa. She's been happy to train anyone who approaches her for lessons, but there haven't been very many recently. Visitors to her bow/gun workshop would find the area instead littered with various small woodworking projects. While she is retired from active duty with the Maelstrom, She has returned to them to offer support in an instructory role, not only in marksmanship, but advising in Sahagin tactics as well. Those who have known her for a longer time may notice she seems to be having difficulty keeping an unusual temper in check.

Isabeau's Maelstrom loyalty is no difficult task to discern, being regularly found wearing Maelstrom colors and regalia. If her garb and stiff-backed posture was not clue enough, her portrait of Admiral Merlwyb standing proudly between Maelstrom banners would take care of the rest. Any member of the Maelstrom that has been stationed at Halfstone in the last few summers would likely recognize her. She is a talented long-range markswoman, who lead a squad of brave men and women who frequently infiltrated Sahagin territory, attempting to keep aether crystals out of the beastmen's hands. Perhaps they heard she recently retired from active duty, and rumors of a scandal that drove her away from her limelight. Asking about it directly doesn't exactly seem like a good idea. She already gets enough questions about her origins; bearing tribalistic markings and an appearence rather uncommon for a Lominsan. Even if she was forthcoming, her molasses-thick accent can be an earful.
