A former slave and guinea pig of the Garlean Empire, he lucked into his freedom after his slave contract was lost in the Gambling halls of the Gold Saucer. Under new 'ownership.' he was finally allowed to decide for himself the things he wanted. With support from Owners that cared not for owning a slave, he was able to come into his own, better late than never, and fine-tune his life with the gifts the Garlean experiments cursed him with. Making good on the promises he made for himself while enslaved, he is building his own Tribe, collecting in its number those who resonate with his values, to give love and respect to the unloved, unseen, the freaks society has deemed unfit for their sensibilities. It is a point of pride to him, to be able to love and protect those he takes under his wing, promising the Ka tribe to be a place of acceptance and belonging. Though even he struggles with realizing that he can't always keep his promises...
Don'ts and Won'ts
For the consistency of roleplay story, and the respect of Roleplaying in a public setting, this player will not roleplay with, nor will the character(s) they play engage with or acknowledge any of the following:
- Characters that are in IC relationships with NPCs (Such as G'raha, Zenos, Erenville, Aymeric, Magnai, etc etc.)
I feel that expecting someone to acknowledge an IC relationship cuts off RP opportunities for other characters with that NPC. For example, if one player is married to Erenville, then all other players cannot have that same relationship without inherently causing conflicts in their stories.
- Characters that are THE Warrior of Light, and/or characters that regard the MSQ storyline as something they experienced first-hand from the WoL's perspective.
This player observes the MSQ story as a story we (the players) are witnessing, but that the story is about the canonical Warrior of Light (fondly "Meteor"), and not our character. This player will not acknowledge anyone who declares themselves to be The Warrior of Light. If you want to RP a canon WoL in a private/personal setting, by all means, but this player will not engage with it.
- Characters that are not canon to the FFXIV Universe, without reasonable explanation for their presence.
This player understands the pandora's box that has been opened in thanks to the cross-over Alliance Raids, whereupon it can be reasonably assumed that other game universes can potentially exist within the FFXIV setting. However, it is a personal preference to not engage with characters that fall outside the spectrum of what can reasonably be lore-explained or lore-suggested.
