Segments of this lore require some hefty trigger warnings, including Non-Con, Dead Dove, Inhumane War-Crimes level of Torture, Psychological Horror, Gaslighting, Heavy Trauma, Slavery/Imprisonment, Human Experimentation, repeated deaths, physical abuse, psychological abuse, and more. I'm being very clear about this, Ka'kavesha is a survivor of significant Garlean scientific experimentation. You are not under any obligation to read any of this. Some parts of this page are going to be incredibly detailed, while other parts are just whimsical notes. Your reading of this page is your learning his full backstory as best as I understand it myself, as his player.

Please enjoy the read. Please don't use what you learn here for privileged in-character knowledge about him without discussing it with me OOC first. Several pieces of information written here are things that Ka'kavesha does not even know about himself.
I am more than happy to work with you and make new connections to bring our characters together!

Born to K' tribe. Located in the deserts south of the traversable and mapped area of the Sagolii Desert.

Per Tribal Custom, all the children of the tribe are fathered by the singular Nunh. In this particular tribe, the Nunh is not the Leader of the tribe, but as the sole breeder, he boasts a significant influence in what's allowed.

The members of the K' tribe have similar characteristics, including dark tanned skin, black hair, and golden eyes. These traits rarely are absent in the children, and the absence of them is often considered grounds enough for a child to be accused of being a bastard.

-Bastards are not tolerated by the Nunh. They are expected to be killed after their births, or the mother is expected to exile from the tribe, taking her shame with her.

K'amari is the leader of the tribe at the time of K'akavesha's birth.

In spite of accusations, K'amari never once slept with anyone besides the Nunh of the tribe, K'mokoku.

Unbeknownst to anyone involved at this time, a traveling merchant ((a regular occurence at this tribe)) brought unique goods from across the sea. One such item was explained to be a jewelrybox. K'amari took the box for herself. It was sealed at the time, but she managed to break the seal. In doing so, she released the Yokai that had been sealed inside of it.  It is unclear at this time if the Yokai's actions were a reward for its freedom, or if it was an entity of chaos acting in chaos. Whatever the motivation, the Yokai possessed the Nunh of the tribe, and used his body to share a night of passion with K'amari. As far as K'amri is aware, she has only ever slept with the Nunh of the tribe, and may or may not have been aware of his possession at the time.

K'amari gave birth to a son, who did not appear to be the Nunh's son. Skin as pale as a Coerthian Noble, golden blonde hair, fanged teeth like a Keeper of the Moon, and strange triple-colored irises; any one of these would have been enough to accuse  the baby of being a bastard. The Nunh rejected him, refused to acknowledge him as part of the tribe, and demanded the baby be killed, or A'mari leave and take her bastard with her.

In spite of the accusations, K'amari held firm to the truth that she knew, that she never slept with any man besides the Nunh, and had no explanation for why her son was so radically different. With her firm knowledge that there was no possible way K'akavesha could be a bastard, she refused to step down from being the Leader of the tribe, and self-exile. However, she did lose a great deal of respect from her peers for this decision.

It is speculated that K'amari may have attempted to drown K'akavesha. The death of the infant would have been the easiest - and expected - way for her to handle the tribally unaccepted baby. This may have been the first time his immortality is realized, as the attempt to drown him would have failed. Even as an infant, he demonstrated death only being a temporary state that he would eventually awaken from.

That Way

K'akavesha was given the title of Tia in spite of the Nunh's demands. Having decided that she would not be exiling, nor would she go forward with the killing of her infant (( or possibly moving forward with the realization that she couldn't kill him )).

Even with his mother being the Leader of the Tribe, the Nunh's rejection and refusal to acknowledge the child he perceived to be a bastard was a decision defended by the tribe overall. K'akavesha was refused access to almost all things. He was not permitted to sit at the communal meals, he was not accepted in the training classes to learn how to hunt, how to forage, how to craft.

Against the wishes of the Tribe, K'amari gave the tribal star tattoos to K'akavesha, putting them on his cheek.  This was the first time it was truly witnessed of K'akavesha's resistance to physical alterations, and his inability to perceive pain. K'amari spent several months applying K'akavesha's tattoo every couple of days, as his skin would reject the ink and heal it away rapidly.

At some point, shortly after entering his teenage years (approx 13-14yrs of age), K'akavesha challenged the current Nunh, K'mokoku. It was not his desire to replace the man as Nunh, but to contest his decision to reject him as part of the tribe. In his mind, if he could challenge the Nunh, maybe he could scrap his way to earning a begrudging respect from the man, and be allowed to have recognition enough to participate in tribal things.

The Nunh, as one might expect, soundly whooped K'akavesha's ass. There is an existing possibility at this point that K'mokoku may have actually attempted to kill K'akavesha during this duel, as was his right as the Nunh challenged. Due to K'akavesha's "condition" of being unable to die, K'mokoku would become aware at this time of the boy's immortality, and realize that this was probably the reason why K'amari didn't kill him when he was an infant.

Sometime in the following months, K'akavesha was captured by Garleans. However, due to his luck, he was able to successfully escape their captivity, and fled back home as quickly as he could.

Upon return to his tribe, it was the Nunh he encountered first. K'mokoku informed him that he was not welcome back. His absence had been realized by the whole of the tribe, and his mother was GLAD for him to be gone, claiming she had finally been freed from the burden of raising him. Overpowering K'akavesha, the Nunh dragged him back to the Garleans himself, and threw him straight back into their captivity, with final words, saying that his mother wished she had drowned him the moment he'd been pulled from her womb. And this was the greatest gift he - K'mokoku - could give to her. K'mokoku promised K'amari would not waste any tears mourning a bastard she had been obligated to protect.

K'akavesha never did know if those were lies, or if K'mokoku took great pleasure in the way the truth would hurt him so much more. He did not attempt escape again, and accepted his capture as his fate.

Garlean Captivity

Coming into Garlean captivity as a teenager, K'akavesha was officially given the designation "Akavesha aan K." Due to his youth, his first assignments fell more along the lines of manual labor.

As Akavesha appeared to come of an age old enough to be acceptable, due to his attractiveness, he was reassigned to the brothel cells.

At this time, with his status as a sex-slave all but sealed, and now that his body appeared full-grown, Akavesha was subjected to what most Garlean slaves were, branded with the Empire's Sigil. His was placed on his abdomen, beneath the navel.

However, Akavesha's particular experience with the receiving of the brand was under threat of death. Being a young man of approximately 18-20yrs of age, and ignorant of the ways of the world after 5+ years of slavery to his name already, he did not think to question it unusual that the Garleans forced him to undergo a Voidsent Pact. When his choices were "Make the pact" or "Be killed right now," the choice seems rather obvious for a young man who did not know he could not die.

The exact terms of this pact currently remain a mystery. Akavesha does not have any conscious memory of the agreements he made with the voidsent creature he was forced to Pact with. However, what he does remember, and what remains a part of the pact that still affects him to current day is that the Slave Brand on his abdomen is infused with coercion magics.

The nature of this Pact created a physical contract, written in an ancient language known only to those who understand Pact magics. The verbiage on this physical item stipulates that the last person to have touched the paper is designated as Akavesha's "Owner" and the magics sealed within his brand will force him to obey any command given to him, regardless of his willingness or not.

Additionally, physical touch to the brand itself would force Akavesha to experience intense and immediate pleasure akin to the sensation of being on the brink of climax, without ever allowing him to actually tip over into orgasm.

Persons of Import

Vitus mal Cinna

Vitus mal Cinna

Akavesha aan K's primary owner and "caretaker." The man who possesses his Slave Contract, and the primary Medicus responsible for all experiments and tests performed on Akavesha. Known to be possessive of his "favorite toy." he took particular joys in the different ways he could torture Akavesha. He was undeterred by Akavesha's inability to feel pain, but saw it as a challenge to find other ways to hurt the boy. Though still a professional Medicus of the now fallen Garlean Empire, he was nothing if not exceptionally thorough in all of his work. His primary goal was to find a way to replicate Akavesha's immortality in a manner that it could be artificially given to others.

While physically incapable of refusing an order given to him by the person the contract acknowledges as his "Master," Akavesha did, at the very least, retain his ability to think on his own, and his ability to speak freely... provided he was not commanded to silence.

Because there was voidsent involvement in the creation of the slave brand, Akavesha's resistance to injury was not observed, the brand sealing to his body without issue. However, thanks to that super regenerative gift of his, he was unable to break the coercion magics of the contract by damaging the brand, as his body recognized the alteration (the brand) as part of his body's default-state, and would restore it back to an undamaged condition.

Prioceau nan Icelus

Prioceau nan Icelus

A Garlean Officer that would regularly purchase the rent-time for Akavesha's personal use. What began as a curiosity of the "extreme fetishes" this particular slave seemed capable of accommodating quickly transformed into a possessive desire to care for and nurture Akavesha for himself. Biding his time, Prioceau would buy Akavesha's time as much as Vitus would allow his time to be rented, and would spend every instance teaching Akavesha kindness, consent, treating the slave with respect. Over the years, Akavesha came to love this man, trusting in him completely, and thought of the time spent with him as worth every moment of torture.

Gift Moroi

The Voidsent responsible for Akavesha's slave-brand. Forcibly summoned from The Void, she was allowed her freedom in exchange for the creation of the pact. Only she knows the full details and terms bound within the created pact, and only she possesses the ability to sever the magical coercion Akavesha is bound to. Her current whereabouts are unknown

After the acquisition of his slave-brand, Akavesha aan K was assigned to the Brothel Halls, as his pretty-face was deemed to be 'too pretty' to be wasted on  manual labor. The following years were spent with his days spent to a near-unchanging schedule. He was not permitted to leave his cell unless he was purchased for use. The only variation came in that some days, he was rented with great frequency, with Soldiers sometimes fighting one another to get first grabs at him, or some days where not a soul would so much as turn their gaze his way - and if he did not work, he did not eat.

It soon came to discovery that Akavesha aan K did not require food with anywhere near the same frequency as the other slaves, so his portions were significantly reduced. This was soon followed by the Garleans then deciding if Akavesha aan K didn't need as much food, then the other slaves didn't, either.

Tensions began to build as the other slaves blamed Akavesha aan K  for their own starvations. It eventually came to a head, when one slave took the opportunity of a cell transfer to attack him. The ambush was planned, and the intent was lethal. He was stabbed in the side several times with a sharp blade, and left to bleed out on the cement. The other slave was killed instantly by gunfire. While no one realizes this, Akavesha DID technically die. But so quickly did his body recover that he mistook that death as merely blacking out from being stunned.

However, when he attempted to rise, the Garlean security decided that, since he was injured, he was better off dead than for them to waste resources on an injured slave, and shot him down as well. Death by gunshot, as one might imagine, took a good deal longer for him to revive from. It was after he had been thrown into a corpse pile, to be discarded, that he revived again, causing great panic and interest in the officers responsible for his captivity and servitude.

News quickly spread around the Castrum of a savage slave who had survived being shot down, and healed on his own, within the bell, in such a pristine condition, as though he hadn't been shot. This drew the attention of several medicus, who all began to submit requests for his time.

It was at this time that Akavesha aan K fell into the hands of one Vitus mal Cinna, a young and determined Medicus who was eager to prove his capabilities and loyalty to The Empire. Through a series of applications and formal requests, mal Cinna eventually came to become the primary holder of Akavesha aan K's slave contract, monopolizing his time with recurring "rental-time" from the brothel cells he was assigned to.
