What are they up to nowadays

Callous has made herself enough savings to be comfortable for a while, thanks to her popularity with the gladiator's guild as an exhibition duelist. Though she lacks skill as an actual fighter, her exotic appearance, and confidence in showing skin, made her a good fit for duels that are closer to shows than legitimate battles. Now that she no longer has to worry so much about her bed or her belly, she's ventured out of the arena, and is enthusiastically learning about Eorzea and its inhabitants.

She's become quite interested in magic, though her dabbling in arcanistry was a poor fit. She's recently heard about a flashy mage who wields both sword and sorcery, and has become inspired to try the same. Her skills are still rudimentary, relying on instinct more than anything else. She can frequently be found in the Heated Hearth's tavern, accosting any other patron who appears to be magically-inclined.

Callous was a surprise to the men and women of the Gladiator's Guild, the dirty secret of once-renowned bloodsands fighter Raging Onyx. Onyx met his demise in the arena, having displeased the audience enough to demand his death after losing a duel to a champion despite relying on underhanded tactics. Callous was soon discovered a in back chamber of Onyx's home, as debt collectors combed it for valuables. According to Callous, Onyx never told her how exactly he came across her, but she had been tucked away behind his door for as long as she could remember. For nearly a score of summers, her entire world consisted only of what Onyx had taught her, and of the battles in the bloodsands she witnessed from his window. She quickly found out the world she was taught is far different, and far bigger, than she was lead to believe.
