Shiki is oft described by those who know her as "more two-sided than a coin", and they mean it in nearly every way one could think of. A doman living in Uldah, wearing a mash of doman fashion underneath a bright red jacket. An heir to a sizable estate in the far east, with unkept hair, hastily trimmed with a knife. But most memorable is her personality; a pendulum that swings back and forth so harshly one would think her someone else entirely, wearing her skin. Often she is cheery and bubbly, if a bit reserved. Yet on next meeting, she will have become curt and callous, even downright menacing, playing with a knife. When she speaks in Doman, those who speak it as well may notice that not only does her manner of speech change with her mood, but even the words she uses to speak of herself changes as well. It is difficult to coax out details of her life back in Doma. The most one usually seems to get is that her family was slaughtered, her estate razed, and that she had a brother, before she refuses to say more. One would think she was one of the refugees that came to Uldah after Doma's failed uprising against the Garleans, but some could swear they've seen Shiki before then. And the way she speaks of her father in anger and revulsion makes one's mind wonder about the possibilities...
